My first zines were mini-zines that I made as a way to get back into being creative again after a year long health scare.
It was just the right outlet for me during my recovery. It was also during this time that I realized I wanted to keep making things!
I have always loved collaborating so I launched mini projects to involve friends to participate and contribute into zine making. They are after all, the reason why I learned about zines in the first place!

When the opportunity to table at EBABZ in 2022 opened up, I knew I didn't want to do this solo. Having tabled at EBABZ in a previous year through Signal Boost Art Collective (2018-2020), I wanted to continue to share the space and showcase other art not just my own. I was also starting to learn to design again during this time. So after a year of being free to try out all types of art mediums as a form of therapy at home, tactile and tangible things became a staple in what I liked to produce. I started printing my friend's zines, binding them, choosing paper material, and setting it up. I started making stickers and prints, testing different materials and finishes one can do in a home setting. I enjoyed the entire process; making things for myself and making things for other people! And so begins the journey of Hungry Cat & Friends! ⋆✴︎˚。⋆
